Pong, on the other hand, was created by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney in 1972 and was released by their company, Atari. It was a simple game that consisted of a two-dimensional screen with two paddles and a dot representing a ball. Players used knobs to control the position of their paddles and tried to hit the ball back and forth, with the goal of getting it past their opponent's paddle. Pong was a commercial success and helped to popularize video games.While "Tennis for Two" was the first video game, Pong is often considered to be one of the first successful commercial video games and is more well-known.
